The Government is continuing its resource planning blitz with a proposal to create four new national directions and amend 12 others in a bid to remove regulatory roadblocks before a new regime comes into force from 2027.The Coalition Government intends to repeal the much-maligned Resource Management Act (RMA) and, like its Labour predecessor, replace it with two new acts, the Planning Act and the National Environment Act, later next year.This won’t happen until 2026, and local plans under the new system likely won’t come into effect...
